Spreading the Word
When I was asked to write a book about CranioSacral Therapy by Wayne Dyer, I just said 'yes' partly because there didn't seem to be any good reason to say no without it sounding like an excuse. One of Wayne's books is called Excuses Be Gone. I had listened to Wayne enough to know that it was my own lack of self-confidence when I felt like I could not write a book. A phrase I heard him use a lot was, "How can I be of service?" So that is what I asked myself when this book opportunity presented itself.
My passion has always been to educate people about their own health and help people make the most informed decision they can. One of the things I enjoyed most about my job in Community Pediatrics was educating the child and parents about all the information that was available to help them make the best decision they could for themselves or their child.
When I looked at what had already been published about CST, it was mainly textbooks for CranioSacral Therapists. I decided to take this opportunity to help the general public learn more about it.
I have continued to spread the word since publishing my book by accepting opportunities that present themselves to be interviewed. I had one such privilege recently with my friend and fellow HayHouse author Anita Moorjani. She has a best selling book called Dying To Be Me, and a more recent publication, What If This Is Heaven?
There are two more ways I reach out to the general public to share my Craniosacral passion. This includes online classes and in-person workshops, in case you'd like to learn more as a practitioner or as a lay person.
Thank you for your support of CST and help to spread the word. I'm grateful to have you part of my community.
From My Hands and Heart, Kate xx
